Our beauties 1 week old!!!

Wow a week goes fast!! My babies are growing like weeds!! Mindy and Tom will be here this weekend and LEXIE WILL BE SO HAPPY! Lexie went with us to the park today for the first time since the babies came. She is spending more time away from them (normal). THEY ARE BUTTERBALLS!! We are enjoying the puppy breath
Francis is restless and panting. She tried to dig a hole outside (nesting) so we are close! Looking forward to meeting her last babies!!

Fun at the park!

Well going to the park yesterday at lunch didn’t do any good. We are still on puppy watch! Hopefully we can go play again today (although I’d rather meet babies). I love the park as much as they do!! Reba sure gets around on that brace!! Warms my heart to see her big smile when we are there! My babies Dottie and Gracie sure are quiet the rest of the afternoon after an hour at the park!! I’m still waiting for my floor tiles (didn’t order enough) but have this half done and I am very happy with it!! Can’t wait for our next sleep over

Off to the vet

Off to the vet to get tails and dew claws done. Everybody did great! I’ve only used this vet for a year or so and they are VERY impressed with our babies!! I have three puppies that live close by because of his recommendation!! We like tails long and they do exactly what I ask (not all vets do). We are still waiting for Francis babies. She ate a big breakfast so I assume I will not see them soon. we hate the wait BUT WORTH IT!! We are quite the spectacles on the lake with 13 dogs. When I looked at this picture it occurred to me that Tom was pretty tolerant of my “hobby” haha. Gracie and Dottie enjoyed their first swim too, they loved it!! They join the ranks of the Dunlop water dogs!! Babies doing great!

NEW FAMILIES!

It is so fun to see the smiling faces of new puppy families! These babies will bring pure joy to these people!! Warms my heart that I will be sending our babies off to people that will cherish them as family members!! Elliot really enjoyed seeing kids. I hadn’t thought about how much he must miss HIS kids until I took this picture. Made me sad :’( I’ve asked so much of him. I’ve decided that unless he can return to his family in Manton he will be staying here. He is a good boy and no trouble. He and Ruben get along fine, he loves to play with Poppy, Dottie and Gracie LOVES HIM!! He’s a happy boy and honestly 12 dogs is no big deal (but don’t ask Tom)!

We had a fun day, hot but fun. We went to the park a couple hours but at 86 degrees nobody really wanted to play. We walked around and laid in the shade. Babies are doing great! We had visitors!! So nice that they can see their baby so young!No Francis babies yet, due the 22nd!

Fun at the park!

We love the park!! Unless it’s raining we go every day. Loading up is much smoother than when we started (thankfully) now to get to them to the lake without broken legs! Babies are doing great. I bottle fed them today. There is no better way to get them used to being handled. They relate food to people, it builds trust and makes for wonderful loving pets! Busy weekend we have puppy visitors!! We are on puppy WATCH, Francis is due the 22nd and we’re ready!!!

Lexie was so happy to see Tom!! She whined and cried! She was very proud of her babies! Rosalie will be going home with Tom and Mindy so it was nice he could meet her on her first day! 2 hours before the babies came

At lunch I loaded Lexie up to go to the park with us. She didn’t want to go. I lifted her in the truck and away we went. For the next hour we walked around the fence line (4 times is a mile) and hurried back home. She really didn’t do anything that would lead me to believe her puppies would come two days early but SURPRISE they did!! What a beautiful mix!! FAST TOO!! What beautiful boys!! It’s Nicole and Elliot’s babies CHESTER and Jake/Fenway, FABULOUS!! Elliot sure made cute kids!! We can’t wait to see his babies with Lexie She is due Friday! and we are so excited! Harlee will be here Saturday to help. Lexie has 10 or so babies I’m thinking. Francis is due the 22nd. She doesn’t seem very big but at 65lbs she has room to hide those kids, I would guess her at 7 babies (give or take). Puppy cam is on and we’re READY and anxiously waiting!!

Ariel's summer hair cut

What a beautiful girl!!! Poppy and Reggie’s baby girl, Ariel! All those pups were stunning! I can’t wait for more (September)! We saw Ronald/Leif at the grand opening and what a beauty HE IS!! These babies are SO SMART too! Poppy is such a good mom, she will love having more babies. Lexie is due Friday and BIG. She is missing Tom and Mindy and not happy that they left her here. They both work all day so she has to be here with us Poor girl it’s hard being the only dog and going to a houseful of other dogs, the good news is when the babies come she’ll be busy and the time will go fast!

VERY ANGRY BIRD!

THEY LOVE THESE TOYS to death!! They have such fun with them but kill the squeaker as soon as possible and unsupervised gut them! I bought all the red and yellow ones Walmart had but I’m running low They are not big on tennis balls so I need to find something we can play with that lasts more than a day!! I am VERY happy with the new floor. I am short tiles so in the mean time I’ll get a good coat of wax on the floor that’s down and have the other part ready to go!! Our little club house is so cute!!!

YEAH BABIES SOON!!

Well it won’t be long, we are in the final stretch!! Both girls are doing great! Poor Lexie is so big! She had 11 babies last time she looked like this (I hope we get lots of boys). She is here to stay until the babies go to new homes. She will really miss her Tom and Mindy Francis doesn’t seem so big but she is a bigger dog and has more room to hide babies, I’d say 8 or so for her. She got a haircut shortly after this photo, she was so hot at the park. We were there 6 hours while I took up the nasty blue carpet and glue from the club house floor. The poodles would wait patiently by the fence until I was at a point that I could join them. The stripper had to sit for 30 minutes so we made lots of trips around the park (4 trips is a mile). Today I’ll give it a good once over and start putting tile down YEAH this has been so fun!

Throw it! Throw it!!

They LOVE these toys but the squeaker doesn’t last, especially if Elliot has it very long They still like them even silenced. Chasing after them is great fun!! We will be at the park all afternoon today (and most of weekend) as I am going to start working on the floor. That nasty blue carpet MUST GO!! I have tiles to put down but FIRST I have to get up the glue which I’m SURE will not be easy!! Then the indoor projects are done and we can plant some flowers and trees around the park. In all honesty I need to do yard work HERE but the park is so fun we love being there!! We put up 6 bluebird house yesterday. Cant wait to get new residence (I hope they’re not ANGRY BIRDS)!

Fun at the pet park

I really enjoy the trips to the park (now that getting there goes smoother) my floor tiles are here so this weekend I’ll be taking up that nasty carpet and putting down a new floor. Then our little POODLE club house will be SO CUTE! My son Bill (Harlee’s dad) works about 5 miles from the park so when he doesn’t have Harlee (3 day rotation) he stays there to save the 30 mile drive to Morley. A new well will be going down soon, right now the water pressure is pityful. Tom is making me a bathroom we can use all winter, we got a toilet and tank used in a travel trailer so we wont need water. This has been so fun!!

My sweet little Gracie at 11 weeks. So darn cute!!
There is a Diamond Pet food recall you should check out. They make many top quality brands like WELLNESS, which we feed the babies!! AND 4HEALTH which is available to my adults in the event they are hungry between their non kibble breakfast (8am) and dinner (8pm). We have been feeding partial raw almost a year now and people ask me about raw and what I do with 12 dogs. My dogs are different sizes and have different requirements in energy and age so it will be hard to describe in great specifics what each one gets but if you decide to try this you can alter the amounts I give as needed (your dog should not seem hungry ever). It is not a lot more work or expense and the benefits to your beloved dog are well worth it. Just to reduce the risk of getting bad food from companies more concerned with PROFIT than the health and safety of the pets we love made it worth it to me!
I COOK for the puppies, Parris (pancreatitis) and Reba (11 years). Every 3 days, I cook rice, eggs and sweet potatoes, cut and cook meat. The 4 mentioned above get 1/2 egg (boiled or scrambled), 1/4 large Sweet potato baked (they can not digest raw veggies they must be cooked or blended). Heaping tablespoon of lowfat vanilla yogurt and a cooked meat (any kind no bones, gizzards, hearts, hamburger, ground turkey etc.) or fish (cup or so but they are smaller dogs, bigger dogs showld get more) and white or brown rice. They should have some organ meat liver, kidney. Gizzards and heart do not count as organs. They need some fat for energy so I remove fat from chicken but not all skin. The adults get raw meat with bones. Be careful at first of drumsticks, they will want to swallow them whole and can choke (hold it and make them chew). Typically I buy the chicken leq quarters at Walmart about $7 for 10lbs. I try to stay in the budget of what I would have spent on kibble about $1 a lb. There are raw food co-ops you can find to buy a variety of meats reasonably priced. I cut the quarters separating the legs and placing them in a different bowl from the thigh/backs. In the morning the boys and Poppy get two thigh/back, all others get one. At night they get a leg (boys and Poppy get two). At lunch they get something, egg, liver, chicken feet, yogurt etc. I WANT them to eat some kibble so I do not have to provide supplements. It is important they get fish (canned tuna or sardines) or fish oil. Tom gets me fish and venison which they love!! Watch the poop to judge how they are doing, it should be much smaller and a firm log. There are lots of websites on raw feeding. I started with this one Click here RAW FOOD THE BASICS you don’t have to JUMP in, start slow. I actually started giving them raw as treats and with every recall I expanded to the meals. If raw makes you nervous, cook the food and serve it rare (no cooked bones ever). I use a lot of bleach to clean up, that does not need to be a concern, be smart and careful. Try it, I believe you will see an improvement in your dogs overall health.

Well I cant say we got a lot of sleep but who does at a SLEEP OVER We really had fun! The dogs couldn’t figure out why we wern’t going back home. Next time will be better, they will get that we are staying. I swear I woke up 3 times because someone was staring at me They loved sleeping with me and Harlee. I went to bed with Reba and Parris and woke up with Dottie, Checkers and Jazz (not much room for me). Harlee went to bed with Dottie and Gracie and woke up with Francis. Elliot's haircut!

What a handsome boy, and such a love!! Several were so HOT at the park even though their hair wasn’t very long that I shaved them down, they were so happy!! They KNOW they look BEAUTIFUL!! AND it must feel so much better!! Harlee and I are going to spend the night at the Pet Park in the CLUB HOUSE with the 12 dogs. Should be interesting!! The sweetest dog on earth

Patti Sue is the sweetest dog on earth UNLESS you refuse to get your eyes cleaned! Ask Elliot who already has WET eyes but she wasn’t done. As he slowly tried to move away she gently bit his muzzle (3 times fast)to indicate to him that he WILL COMPLY. It is so funny to watch this sweet gentle girl making her intentions clear!! LOL I remember these days and how busy there were. Haha. I must say it brings back fond memories!! Here’s what Trisha said about these photo’s How do you fit two toddlers and two dogs in one Focus (trunk full). Like this and do note how Izzie felt about it. Can hardly blame her since at this point she was likely hungry, thirsty, tired, cramped, and spent the last half hour being hit by hard plastic toys… and she still likes that kid. Good dog. Very good dog, Izzie. Yes Izzie (sister to Lexie) is very tolerant of everything the boys do as is their mom Citori. Great dogs for kids!! None better. We visited with Pat, Leigh and Alex this morning, it had rained all night so we didn’t go to the park as planned. They are now on their way back to their poodles in VA and PA. I think they had a good time, I know I did!!
We will do another reunion in the fall, hopefully they can come again!!

A FUN DAY!!

We had a very fun day!! BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!! I was so happy to see everybody!! In attendance was Annie/Rigby, Kalvin, Donatella/Mimi, Ronald/Leiv, Joy/Kozmo, Shrek/Fergus, Buzz/Roger, Jake/Fenway, Washington/Fozzie, Bob/Gonzo, Kenicki/Rowlf, Barbie/Lacey, George, Woody/Jack, Goo Goo/Toby, Jubilee/Dalva, Cirori & Izzie, Sun/Kate and my Gracie, Dottie, Parris, Francis Claire, Patti Sue, Jazz, Ruben, Elliot, Poppy and Nicole!! We also had a lab, a little poodle, and a pug who was the secret service. That was very amusing because my last park visit to Lake Orion the park attendant called the SHERIFF on me because I had brought too many dogs (more than two)! So no cops this time just the secret service Everybody is EXHAUSTED, no one has moved since we got home.

Pat came from Virginia for a poodle visit!

I was so surprised in January when Pat (VA) and Leigh & Alex (PA) asked if they could come for a visit! Flights, car and hotel! How could I refuse such EFFORT to come and meet us!! So once the date was set the push was on for the GRAND OPENING OF THE PARK. After all if you come that far it would be nice to see as many poodles as possible!! Thank’s to the early nice weather we made the date and are very excited about tomorrow!! This should be very fun!! TRISHA IS COMING with Citori and Izzie!!!

Before and After!

I’m DONE!! Well as done as I can be until the floor tiles arrive. I have really enjoyed this project!! In November when I bought the park the little house was a bonus to exactly what I was looking for! It’s 20×20 and was simply a no frills hunting cabin. Next to it is a construction trailer that is the bathroom and bedroom (I hate it)! At some point I want it gone and those two rooms added to the club house, but for now I have to tolerate it as is. The well is quickly DYING up so I hope it makes it thru Sunday’s grand opening. We have the stuff for a new well but couldn’t arrange to have it put down in time. Tomorrow we will be relaxing and doing a few loose ends!! GRAND OPENING IS ALMOST HERE!!

I could get a picture of HAPPY Patti Sue with every park visit. She just loves being there. They are all so happy to run and play! Four trips around the fence line is a mile so we all get a good work out. The bad news is how DIRTY they get! I bring everybody to the park with me when I paint (yes I’m still painting that OSB board soaks up all my paint)they stare and the house, go play and come back and stare at the house. It amazes me with 2 acres to play they sit and wait. Every few trips to the park, Reba messes up her neck, her brace throws her out of wack I think and for the next day or so she takes it easy. Makes sense the way she runs. Poor old girl, I know how she feels. When you over do, you pay
My baby girls are so funny! As I’m painting I hear the pups (Dottie 5.5 months and Gracie 9 wks) snapping and snarling and I say to Tom watch and make sure Dottie isn’t being too rough with Gracie. And he says “are you kidding, Dottie’s on the bottom! All that noise is from Gracie who is kicking her butt” ha ha! I’m having so much fun with two puppies!!

My little BILLY GOAT!

So I raced over to the park after work to put a second coat of paint on the walls while there was some daylight. Dottie was playing too rough with Gracie and since I wasn’t supervising I brought Gracie in the house with me. She was upset about being separated from the pack and was whining, whining with an occasional howl I was on the tall ladder busy painting the edge of the ceiling and not looking at her, trying to ignore her (annoying)constant whimpering. When I finally finished as far as I could reach I looked over at her and SAW THIS!!! She was trying to figure out how to get up on the stove!! LOL good thing I got a picture, no one would believe a 9 week pup would climb three ladder steps to get up on the stove!! Couldn’t believe it myself!! This baby is fearless! Much to his dismay, she still chases Elliot all over, just loves him!! He pretty much ignores her, but often has a pleading “help me” look. My CLUB HOUSE is coming along, we will be ready for the BIG DAY!! We can’t wait to see all our poodle friends and past puppies!! You need not have a PAMPERED POODLE TO JOIN US! The brothers (both Francis & Beau babies) have a great time together!! They live in Austin Texas Cupid/Beaudreaux was born in 2008 (Valentine litter) and Harvest/Harvey was born in 2009 the Thanks Giving litter. Here’s what mom Tonya said about her boys Hi Barb, wanted to send a pic of the boys swimming and playing with their stick yesterday. As you can well imagine they can’t get enough of this thank gosh in our back yard. They are wonderful and just continue to get better and better in terms of be loving, smart and funny. We have Geese and lots of chickens at the moment and they don’t bother them. Really good boys!!!

We love our Ella. Everywhere we go, we get compliments. She is really beautiful and so smart!
She is a friend to all, and a special friend to my 90 year old Dad.

I think she is training him to fetch! They spend their weekdays together and walk daily in Lake Park. She has been a blessing for both my dad and us. I know he is not alone and he has a constant loyal companion.

On weekends, she and Gerty have gotten to play at the dog park many times this past winter and now that she is bigger and faster than Gerty, Gerty has come up with some sneaky side attacks to get her. It is very funny to watch.

Ella still hangs out in dry bath tubs, startling everyone coming in to use the bathroom and she still eats lying down and has timed her dinner to the same time as ours. Whenever we sit down to eat, she does too! She is quite the attention hound.

We really loved this last litter and thought the girl Fleur looked like our Ella. I am so glad you are keeping Muriel/Grace. Is she a silver with that nose of hers? When is the next litter?

HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY Samantha/SAMMI SUE and her “Sex in the city” litter mates!! I wasn’t going to start on the little house until after the grand opening but can’t stand the smell left from the smokers that had it before us. So although I hate to paint (but love the look of a freshly painted room) I dove into the project. Floors with have to wait (nasty blue carpet). New roof and siding are on the project list too. Hi barb,

Oliver went for his Heartworm test today. His weight is 85 lbs. As you can see not a fat 85. I’m sending a few pics I took today. Roman seems to be doing fine. He seems to be Happy and gets excited more then he use too. Oliver is a total Goof!!!!! He sure has the Energy!!! He was a Big Baby at the Vets. He wouldn’t go with them to get his test. He got away from them and came running in the waiting room and jumped on me. Like he was saying Oh Please Help Me Mom! Don’t make me go with them!!!! Everyone was Laughing! SO Funny!!I shared this story about RUBEN!!Oliver is SO RUBEN haha. One time we were going to the vet for artificial insemination. The girl was in the back seat of the truck, he was in the box part with a cap. I opened the lid of the cap ready to reach for his collar to attach the leash and in a blink he was gone!! Jumped out, ran across the parking lot just in time to meet another customer coming out the door, he zipped past them and ran into an exam room, sat and waited. My hand wasn’t even off the handle of the cap!! Everyone was laughing. They talk about it still

Patti Sue & Ruben's boys!!

On Monday Duncan and Stanley joined their new family via a short fight to Minnesota. Shane and Carolin have been counting the days until the boys were ready to join them. Carolin knew all about our poodles as her parents have our Smith/Koby from Patti Sue and Ruben’s Sex in the city litter and FERGUS from the SHREK litter!! I enjoyed the photo’s and update from Carolin. Family get togethers will be more fun with these FOUR entertaining guys !! Hi Barb!
I hope this letter finds you, your family and your pack well. Harley/Stanley and Rocky/Duncan are truly a dream come true. They are so darn cute, sweet, full of kisses, smart as can be and very confident young men. The first day they arrived we introduced them to their brothers, Koby and Fergus who were ecstatic, to say the least. It was SO CUTE as both Koby and Fergus recognized their smell immediately from the toys you sent along and couldn’t stop hovering, kissing and being very protective of their younger bros. At one point Harley even thought Koby was his Mom and went to nurse, that didn’t work out, lol, but Koby was a good sport. It is amazing how well trained they are for only being 8 weeks old as they know how to go outside, care for each other, and sleep through the night. It is so funny to watch them interact with their personalities already being so diverse – it will be very interesting to see who emerges as the dominant male. As of right now, it is a constant battle over food, toys, position and romping outside. They are just too precious and we can’t thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to have two such wonderful companions.

We will of course keep you updated and send you pictures as they continue to grow at warp speed!

Me and dad!

Polka/Splash (Nicole and Elliot baby) she’s Dottie’s litter mate and what a beautiful girl!! Clearly loved and pampered!! JUST LIKE WE LIKE!! We are making some progress blending. Muriel/Gracie has stopped chasing Elliot so he can quit hiding in the kitchen I’m still worried about her getting stepped on, mainly because she is fearless and zips in between everyone’s legs. Poppy gently plays with her but she’s really telling her I’m the boss. Dottie plays a little too rough one on one (9 against one divided her attention) but Gracie lets her know, that was too hard. She isn’t ready for the dog park (she will get trampled) might have to start her out in Alcatraz Tom finished the airlock, to reduce escapes as people go in and out. WE ARE READY FOR THE GRAND OPENING! I do need a new well, as there is little water pressure but not sure when that will get done. Hopefully before the big event!

With all the babies gone, Muriel Grace/Gracie will be joining the pack full time. She loves Elliot and chases him all over, the faster he runs the more she likes it. It freaks him out so he hides in the kitchen. He’ll get used to her My biggest job is keeping her from getting stepped on, she weaves and bobs between all the legs!! She slept pretty good in the crate on my bed. Big adjustment for her and the pack. She will get to go to the pet park now too

Our new toy!

I never miss an opportunity to stop in and see Trisha’s family! And since Duncan/Rocky and Stanley/Harley were flying from Lansing to Minneapolis I stopped in for a couple hours. I brought Izzie and Citori a new toy and both were delighted! It worked out really well because while Izzie had the dog house Citori pranced around with one of the puppies that was inside. We have this toy and the dogs love it (Amazon.com). Chase and Max get cuter by the minute. They don’t give kisses though!! I did get to share Chase’s dinner, with his slimey little fingers he would drop pieces of his meat into my mouth. I also got a chunk of pineapple he spit out he shares so nice!

My first drink from the hose!

Future water dog!! Dottie, like her parents already likes water!! We are putting in an airlock fence so the dogs can’t scoot out. THEN we are READY!! I spent more on the little house than I planned (isn’t that always the truth) now it need a new well. I got the bathroom presentable now on to the kitchen and living room area which may not be done by park opening. I love projects so fixing this up is fun for me. The house was really a bonus for a wonderful area to fence!!
The boys Duncan & Stanley fly to Minnesota tomorrow afternoon. They are better in the crate but still cry some, after awhile they settle down and sleep (doesn’t help that Muriel/Gracie is running free) On the way home from the airport I’m going to stop and see the twins (and Trisha and Ted of course)!! Always a treat for ME!! I wish they lived closer than 2 hours away :’(

The Anderson and their new girls

I’m down to three babies! I always have mixed feeling about time to go home. I’m sad I can’t keep everybody, knowing that’s not an option, I am always thrilled about the families that will love our babies their entire lives!
I owe it to my mom’s who trusted ME with the babies they love! Here is an update from Meggin: Barb-

They are wonderful!! This is so much fun! The first day was so much easier than we had expected. They arrived potty trained and with the skill to come when called. They are so affectionate and curious!

They were such tentative sweeties until our first rest stop. As soon as they got out of the car and we set them in green space with us their tails popped up. They both went potty right away and then greeted all of us with puppy kisses and lamb jumps in the grass. Olive drank out of the water bowl but Mayzie would only sip when we offered water from our hands. They played a bit when we got back in the car then they snuggled in and napped. Check out Mayzie snuggled between the kids. We left home at 4am so all four took a nap:)) Olive slept peacefully in my lap.
The second stop went exactly the same. Potty right away and again only Olive would drink from the bowl. Mayzie cried about 1/2 hour after that stop so we pulled over and she drank her fill out of the bowl. No problems at all since then.

They have eliminated outside every time so far even bowels… I’m sure they may have a few accidents still but they sure made a great first impression.

Having two is more than twice the fun!!!They are so much fun to watch romping around the garden sniffing and exploring everything. They happily ran circles and stumbled over their feet when they got going too fast. They ran back to us for reassurances then sprang like little lambs with that wonderful poodle bounce. They come when we clap and call their names. ADORABLE!!

BIG DAY!!

They are so funny trying to work out who will be dominant. Olive is the exuberant gal and uses her weight to muscle Mayzie but Mayzie has a golden voice and can come out on top with a single growl sometimes. All in good fun— tails up and both coming back for more fun minutes later. They napped together in the lawn. We all gathered around and watched them… Felt like the days when the kids were newborns and Kyle and I would set the Carseat in the middle of the table and watch them sleep when we ate dinner. Absolutely priceless!

When we came inside for dinner they snuggled into position for a rest. They each have bed their own bed but finally agreed upon Olive on the bed and Mayzie on the floor next to her. About 30 minutes later Mayzie got up for a drink and pushed a sleeping Olive onto the floor. They are a riot. Meggin MY BABIES WILL BE SO HAPPY!!!

LOL looks like Chase doesn’t like poodle kisses. He is a bit dramatic so it adds to the delight of the before and after photo. Izzie is licking her lips for more!! Everything going great here. Pet Park is coming along. I’ve been working on making the bathroom presentable (spending as little $ as possible). It was nasty, reminded me of a Sunoco station ACK!! I am amazed at what a little paint can do!! The grand opening is April 29th noon to five. I emailed invites but please share the information with anyone I may have missed. Well ALVIN is going to have sparkling clean eyes!!! I guess it’s in the genes because her mom Patti Sue considers it her personal responsibility and lifes mission to keep everyone’s eyes clean!! I love the look on the face of those singled our for personal grooming! They KNOW they had better comply The funniest is poor Checkers (Patti Sue’s mom) who objects to having her eyes cleaned but Patti INSISTS showing her teeth. Finally Checkers gives in and goes limp on the floor waiting patiently for Patti to be done. When released from the grooming session Checkers will sit next to me and paw my arm showing me the two sopping wet rings around each eye. Her miffed expression IS SO FUNNY!! Poor daughter Muriel Grace will be so clean she’ll be shining!!

What a good boy!! Elliot loves the park!! He runs with the girls and like Ruben waters every tree and bush. Such a sweet boy, like his mom, so gentle with daughter Dottie! He does NOT like being without people however. When we leave and at night he is in the dog bedroom with Jazz (his mother) and Patti Sue. At night he settles right in. During daylight hours when he figures you should be home he is upset. In all his homes he had people home with him all day, so it is natural I think that he has some anxiety about being left. We are working on crate training so he feels secure without people. That always takes time and patience

Babies are doing great. Our little pack is down to five. So darn cute and full of kisses!! They will make their new families VERY HAPPY!

On Saturday Lexie and Jack’s Einstein babies turned TWO!! Annie/Rigby, June/Dallas, Monet/Jezabel, Einstein/Casey, Beethoven/Charley, Mozart/Jules, Matisse/Tagan, Rocket/bode, Quincy/Braxton, Leo/Harley and Bach!! What beauties (but then all our babies are) Lexie’s next litter is due May 18th!! So exciting to see what babies we get! Lexie has so many GREAT colors, for people who like a UNIQUE pet!! Elliot and Jack have the same mother (Jazz) so I expect similar colors. Elliot’s dad is a red & white parti, so he adds an additional color possibility Always fun to see who we get, parti litters can be completely different from the litter before!
Patti Sue’s babies are ready for their new homes. They love attention and will enjoy being on center stage!! Luna and Hannah go home tomorrow. I’m thrilled they are keeping their names and EVEN MORE thrilled they are staying together!!

Today was a busy day! Vincent joined his new family and is already in love with his poodle sister Tallulah. I knew he would he adored Poppy and Dottie, always kissing them He will be VERY happy!! Stewart/Wellington is settled in, here is a pupdate from his dad: Dear Barb:

We started the Pro Plan with the Wellness and he is eating very well. I think the problem was more nerves than anything else (at least we hope so). His latest stool was still loose but better. He is very lively and has had a number of pitched battles with a no stuffing rabbit I bought him. At this point who is winning is anyones guess but I am betting on Wellington. Bear loves him and is very protective. We had them out in the yard and someone came by and Bear went off. Not a good thing for Bear or us but it shows he has accepted Wellington as his own. Jaques is confused and I think a little put off by Wellington. Jaques has been the baby and I think he is jealous of my attention to Wellington. A little surprising to me as I thought Jaques would take Wellington under his wing. I am paying more attention to Jaques and believe that it will work itself out.

A side note, I found Wellington asleep with his head in the water dish. His head was in the dish and little bubbles were coming from his nose. I took away the water dish as I did not want to be the first person in history to lose a puppie to drowning. He is an absolute treat to be around and every moment brings more memories. Tell Harlee that Wellington misses her especially her long hair. Recall that Laura has very short hair and I regretfully do not have much so he is out luck.
Thank you again for allowing us to add Wellington to our Family. Your Dogs are a treasure and anyone should feel honored to add one to their Family.

I spent the afternoon painting the bathroom at the pet park a light gray. I had brought 9 dogs with me and they amused themselves the first couple hours running and sniffing. I’d come out every little while so they could see me. I was almost done with the first coat of paint. when I heard the familiar sound of what I call a poodle stampede of happy feet! I knew immediately Jazz had chewed through the bungee holding the gate closed and led the escape. I managed to meet them at the bathroom door to avoid several “silver” poodles. GOOFS! Never a dull moment with a pack of poodles

Stewart/Wellington's new family

WOW, that time already! After just seven short weeks my babies are off to start their new pampered lives!! First to leave us is Stewart/Wellington!! He has two poodle brothers and will be very happy as the baby of the family Harlee favored Stewart and was here to tell him goodbye!! Always bittersweet for us!!
The official GRAND OPENING for the park will be APRIL 29th noon!! Come one come all!! I hope we get a wonderful sunny day!! Very exciting!! I still can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner (my son Bill said “I can’t believe you thought of it at all” ha ha!!
I’m reading a really good dog book title ON TALKING TERMS WITH DOGS:CALMING SIGNALS by Turid Rugaas. It is AMAZING! Easy and it works! I can’t believe the constant communication that goes on among the pack, now I can communicate too! Short easy read.

Dottie asks to go see the babies, she is just so cute!! Bites them so nice, and lets them climb all over her. Muriel Grace (Gracie)gives her tons of kisses, they will be good friends. We have a Vet appointment today for shots and check ups. Where did the time go?? Don’t I always say that? Then off to their new homes. I’m
Elliot gets more settled every day. Routine really makes them feel secure, all dogs love it. We have a very structured pack, you have to or they will challenge each other for a better position in the pack (all directed by the human whether they know it or not). He was born here and stayed his first 10 months, so it wasn’t too big of an adjustment. He’s a good boy so it was basically getting the girls used to another boy bothering them

EVERYBODY GOT TO GO!!

Well everybody got to go to the newly fenced park but it was a CHORE getting everybody (12) over there!! Good thing it’s a short ride (five miles) the POOHAUL was VERY FULL OF HAPPY DOGS! Since Reba’s leg injury I TRY to restrict the mad dash which is pretty much impossible since they have figured out WHERE we are going THEY LOVED being able to roam where ever they wanted!! We stayed two hours and they were ready to go home AND VERY quiet the rest of the day (Harlee too).

YEAH FENCE!

I knew Tom and our neighbor Don were at the park yesterday but I thought they were fixing a leak in the kitchen sink. INSTEAD they fenced about 85% of the park!! What a great surprise!! AND what a relief to let the dogs run and play without the worry of kicking up a rabbit and away they go in hot pursuit. They MAY finish the fence today weather permitting! No gates though, they haven’t arrived We can work around that with temporary fencing! I really enjoy watching my poodles run! They are so happy! We haven’t had all 11 over there at once because it is too many to watch :0 Six is a challenge but they mind me and know by now how far I’ll let them go. Elliot has settled in nicely. He whined some the first night but since then has been a perfect boy. He plays nice with the girls (especially the pup) and pretty much ignores Ruben which is fine with me. I had a weenie wrap (diaper wrapped around his middle held on with duct tape) on him the first few days to make sure we didn’t start “marking wars” but since it was always dry it’s off of him now.

Elliot is back home with us. His return was a personal matter and not related to Elliot, other than the drama having a fifth dog can create. The poor boy just can’t catch a break I will be keeping my eyes open for a perfect home for him (no cats, no allergic children and no 5 dogs) but until I stumble across that family, he will be happy here being dominated by Poppy and his daughter Dottie. We went to the pet park after we picked him up so they could have a good run before coming home, naturally he loved it! Hopefully the gates will come this week and fence up this Sunday so they can really play together rather than making two trips/groups.
Babies are doing great!! They love outside even though it’s a lot colder! Who could resist these faces??

I was THRILLED that this pen came with the PET PARK!! We call it Alcatraz and NO ONE is going to jump out It’s a good time out for the park, if needed. Babies are doing great, we picked some of the girls today. WE PICKED Muriel, I do think she will be silver. I’ve never had a silver and always wanted one (I want one of every color) such a beautiful color! I do believe Hannah will be available as one family had something come up and needs to wait for a later litter. I’d like to keep them both, but I’m pushing my luck with Dottie AND Muriel/Gracie. I might be the one that ends up in ALCATRAZ!

What happy babies! They love it when Harlee comes to visit! Everybody works to get close enough to sneak in a kiss. They look at her with such loving little eyes. Kids and puppies sure go together. Potty training going very well, they make it all night with no poop inside. Still pee inside but that should end this week. They will go home knowing they should potty outdoors!

Fence

Silly me I thought we were doing fence today, but the guys decided we needed more help. Those rolls of fence are over 200 lbs so looks like it will have to wait another week (I’m not happy). We did get a lot done. I spent the morning cleaning up a mini dump, at some point someone lived there and had a burning barrel, the trash overflowed to the point we had to hire someone to cart the crap away. I cleaned up a lot of glass and crap that was missed while the guys turned on the water (pump died after about an hour) and got the toilet in working order. So although it’s not pretty we do have a working bathroom. We hauled away brush we had cut making room for the fence and cleaned up dead trees and limbs. And lastly moved ALCATRAZ to inside the fence. Our TIME OUT pen if needed, what a bonus to have it on the property when purchased. We are really waiting on the gates which will hopefully arrive this week!! We are ahead of schedule for the GRAND OPENING April 28 or 29 depending on weather!! Babies doing great, full of kisses for HARLEE!

Frankie is a Lexie & Jack baby! Such a good boy!! I can’t wait to see who Lexie and Elliot have!! Since he and Jack have the same mother Jazz, the gene’s should be the same with the addition of red and white from Elliot’s father Winston. OMG I’m making pick up arrangements for my babies already!!! WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?? We will be picking girls in the next week (5 days) I NEED to make a decision but it’s not me we’re waiting for, my selection has been narrowed to Eunice or Muriel, who are either blue or silver. I change my mind daily so I think who ever is lighter when I do front feet will be my pick! Scott and Margo have Ruben’s little sister Chelsea/Sadie. Sadie lives for Margo (and even saved her life)and Scott wants a girl of his own! SO one of the black girls will pick Scott and be his special girl. Once done we can announce who the rest of the girls will treasure! Since they are ALL so cute, nobody really cares who they get (including me) They were doing really well going outside HOWEVER today it has poured all day! They will go outside to see their mother but squash down when the rain drops hit them like they are being attacked by something It is amazing how they act like silly poodles when wet!

WOW BUSY DAY!! I was very late posting pictures, sorry The day started with a haircut for Parris who was roasting in this weather! Then Parris, Poppy and Dottie went over to the pet park and helped Tom brace three corners. I swapped dogs an noon and went and got lunch. Bill works close by so we called him and he came and ate with us. Tom pickes up the wire tomorrow but without the gates (special order) we can’t finish it over the weekend as planned (the boys are coming to help us) :’( Boo Hoo
Then I raced Francis and Jack to the vet for a second breeding and then off to meet Jack’s family at 5pm. So hopefully we have Lexie and Elliot babies May 18 and Francis and Jack babies May 22th. Whew. things should settle down now with Jack and Elliot safely back home.

Chester and Mark take morning walks around Chicago. Mark gets lots of comments about his beautiful boy. Chester sure looks like his mom, Nicole! I love this picture REAL MEN HAVE POODLES!! Elliot went home, Jack is here. What a good boy he is, so easy going. His kids miss him so I try not to keep him any longer than I have to. Jack rolls around on the floor and actually plays with the two year old. We did one breeding today (at vet) and will do another tomorrow then Jack can go back home. For babies due May 22nd (brown)
The babies are getting so BIG, almost 5 weeks. Dottie and Poppy ask to go see them. It is just so cute to see the interaction. These babies love other dogs!!

Elliot goes home in the morning. It has been nice having him back for a visit, such a sweet boy! Poppy has loved having a boy to play rough with! Dottie wasn’t so sure, she did not think he should be here and barked at him for the first hour or so. She likes him now but keeps an eye peeled for where he is. He pretty much ignores her. Dottie continues to gently play with the babies. They don’t mind her love bites and come back for more. I love watching them inteact, they growl at her and nothing is cuter! Weather is STILL FABULOUS!! 78 in MARCH!!!!!!!!!!

The boys are picked!! Duncan and Stanley are going to Minnesota. They will be close friends of their older brothers Smith/Koby and Fergus!! How fun will that be to have the four of them together!! Vincent gets a poodle sister Talullah and Stewart gets two poodle brothers (both in Michigan!!). AGH all the girls are so darn cute! Everyday I change my mind about who we should keep. ALL SO ADORABLE!! I love them all. Eunice seems to be drawn to Dottie and Poppy but then they all like the other dogs. I also think Eunice is not black, so I’ll put this off for another week I think. Pet park continues to progress! Gates are ordered and more brush clean up!!

New babies MAY 18 th!!

Everything went well so HOPEFULLY we will have new babies May 18! I expect the same colors as Lexie had with Jack. Francis Claire is in season too, so we will be breeding her with Jack later in the week (brown babies). We had a REALLY BUSY weekend. The park is underway with HALF of the fence posts in (thanks to the post hole digger that goes on the tractor!!) That wonderful invention made short work of getting all those posts in. We are fencing 2 acres so it will take some time! I am so excited!! This weather has been FABULOUS!!!

Elliot is here for a few days to make babies with Lexie. Jan met me in Mt. Pleasant. She had Andrea/Jasmine (Patti Sue and Ruben)and Tinsel/Cypress (Reba & Ruben) with her. We had a busy day. Stopped at the park to let the dogs play, then went home to take care of babies and swap dogs. Worked on the fence most of the afternoon then came back home (good thing it’s only 5 miles) to take care of babies and eat. Then I shaved the babies faces and butts. I really can’t tell who is not black, maybe outside in the sunlight I’ll have a better idea so picking can start

Dottie is so funny, she waits for the babies to come over and waller on her. She gently bites them and they growl a warning. It is adorable!! Eunice REALLY likes Dottie, seems like she is in all the pictures. Vincent loves Poppy. I so enjoy watching their little personalities develop. It is so fun to see who they take to. I am DYING to shave those faces!! Might be too early to see color though, I’m thinking I might do it Sunday. I put in a doggy door today and pushed them in and out with every trip outside by the third time they were coming back in by themselves. SO SMART!! Takes them a little longer to go out.

Another WONDERFUL day!! 76!! Poppy and Dottie really love it when I let them visit the babies!! It is so good for the pups to see dogs other than their mother. Makes them very dog friendly!! Dottie gets a little rough sometimes but I watch her close and she KNOWS what is too much! Poppy went into mother mode, made me wonder if she misses her babies.
We bought some fence supplies today!! HOPEFULLY we will have a WORK WEEKEND!! YEAH!

Elliot will be here for a visit tomorrow!! I can’t wait for him to meet his daughter Pickles/Dottie!! Lexie is in heat and we thought we would see who we get with Elliot as the dad. Both Elliot and Jack have Jazz as their mom so I expect similar colors. Jack will be here the following week for Francis Claire babies! I’d rather not have babies so close together but the girls don’t ask ME! Lexie is early and Francis Claire is late
Nicole is perking up from her surgery (fixed). She ate some cooked turkey and went outside to potty. She is getting better, slowly. Poor girl harder on an older girl.
BEAUTIFUL TODAY! 73 degrees, babies were outside but not that happy about it. So many NEW THINGS! Next trip they will like much better!

Dottie isn’t quite so worried about Patti Sue showing her teeth, she looks away and pretty much ignores her. She does look a little worried sometimes but doesn’t leave. She likes the babies! She helps me clean them up. Such a good helper. We will be moving to the family room and in this nice weather (70 degrees) going outside!! Nicole is at the vet getting spay. I have put it off long enough. I just dread surgery, such a worry.

Fun at the PET PARK

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!! I was on my way to the pet park when I passed Bill, Andria and Harlee who was on their way to see me So they joined us to enjoy the beautiful day. We were a bit over dressed as it was windy on the lake. I am THRILLED with every warm day as we are closer to getting the fence up! It is a pain making two trips! The ones that go in the second trip have a melt down about being left behind! I don’t dare take more than 6 dogs at once, if they see a deer or rabbit I fear they’d be gone in hot pursuit (they are dogs after all)! They had fun chasing the RED BALL (thankfully Nicole didn’t care about it) and playing with the girls. We still have a target PET PARK GRAND OPENING of April 28 or 29th!! PENCIL IT IN!!!

Well the day has come for their first meal out of a bowl! Generally this is a BIG MESS with today being no exception!! Vincent and Fleur ESPECIALLY LOVED TO GOO and spent the most time in and around the dish!! Thankfully they do get a little better with every meal. Patti Sue and I both stand by for clean up (Dottie helped too)!! It is also time to move them to the family room where they will have more room and can go outside as next week should be really nice! Every time I go visit the babies I bring the poodles treats! They are always so happy to see me! Such good girls, they sure love those treats and they sure love their little baby boys!! Poodles and kids just go together!! Lansing is two hours away so I need to plan my trip between puppy feedings. Six hours is about as long as I leave without a baby sitter. Tom came back from fishing (said they weren’t biting) so Dottie was not in the crate the whole time (which she needs actually). He really likes her (but then he likes them all) she is especially hard to resist because she likes him so well The babies will be 3 weeks old Sunday and starting GOO. Agh such a mess but they sure do like it!
They act like they are starving (they are not)!! I need to compare weights with the other litters, these babies seem HUGE to me!! I really think their baby weight makes little difference in the end size. Their bone structure tells more about who will be biggest in the end. Ruben had two brothers that were both 10lbs at 6 weeks. Ruben was the only one of the three that ended up 92lbs (without an ounce of fat) the other boys were 85ish. Still big poodles. All the Ruben and Patti Sue babies are big. An average boy is 60-65lbs. A female 50-55lbs. Our small puppies are bigger than average! We love big POODLES!! I’m so excited to see if anybody is SILVER!!!

The puppy socializer at WORK!

No school so the girls spent the better part of the day, lovin up puppies! Always a fun day. Fleur really took to Harlee so naturally that who she wants to keep. She likes them all but naturally your favorite is the one who likes you best!! We are excited and looking on websites with baby names.
The weather is going to be wonderfully warm for the next two weeks!! Tom wanted a boat cover and was short on money because of some truck repairs so I bought him the boat cover and refer to it as an EXPEDITE FEE Spring is his BIG fishing season and I didn’t think it would hurt to be on the TOP of his list of projects. I fully indend to be ready for the GRAND OPENING OF THE PET PARK April 29 (mark it down). He built most of the bathroom in the garage so that won’t take long to assemble!! YEAH! Very exciting!!

Reba loves the park!

We had so much fun at the pet park today!! Not too cold and the trees were heavy with new snow! So pretty! Bright sunny day so the snow just sparkled!! The dogs ran through the deep snow and had a good work out!! I have had trouble with the last strap of Reba’s brace. The velcro fills with snow and it comes loose. It doesn’t support her foot properly when not tight so today I put duct tape around it to keep it on!! Worked great! She RUNS like she doesn’t have a brace! That brace was so much better than surgery, so glad it has helped her!!
Babies are looking and acting like little dogs! Gee that happens QUICK. Walking, climbing up on my lap. SO CUTE!!

I love it when the babies open their eyes!! It’s hard to get pictures as they close their eyes from the flash. They are walking pretty good and using the papers!! I didn’t make it to Lansing to see the twins (boo hoo). I don’t drive in ice and it rained pretty hard before we got snow, I decided not to risk it. Plus it was super windy! We had planned for Terry to baby sit while I was gone so Dottie spent the night, which was VERY good for her!! She really doesn’t like to be away from me and if I’m not careful I’ll have a puppy with separation anxiety. She stayed till noon just for the experience We sure missed her. When she got home it was PARRIS she was so happy to see!!

Play with me grandma!!

Our adorable Dottie continues to terrorize the adults who take it so well!! None of them would hurt her and she knows it. Her antics provide endless smiles around here. I am really enjoying having a puppy of my own!! It’s been a really long time! Tom gets a kick out of her, she is so happy to see him whenever he comes and goes. Our morning routine involves everyone running down the hall to greet him when he gets up in the morning. The biggest greeting was from Beau who would happily sneeze and sneeze in welcome! We both miss that

Jazz and Checkers love the park!

Jazz and Checkers just love the park! They are so happy. We all have fun and I am anxious to be able to go in one trip. Right now we make two trips with very unhappy dogs waiting for their turn. I really don’t dare take more than six at once without a fence. They know where they can go without me calling them back and they are really good about returning promptly when I do!! Babies are doing great!! Fat happy babies!! I can’t believe they are a week old already!!

Watchful eye

Patti never cares if anybody is by her babies but she does WATCH them (even me). I get the EVIL EYE while bottle feeding them. We bottle feed for the extra touching and handling. They associate people with food for a stronger bond and confident puppy. Every experience they have ever had is positive. Never being hungry, they have NO FOOD ISSUES. It never occurs to them there will ever be a meal when they don’t get all they want. They already crawl into my hands! Such precious babies. We had fun at the pet park today. They LOVE to go and sleep sound all afternoon I can’t believe I didn’t think of a PET PARK SOONER!!!

OUR NEW COATS!!

Hope (Beau’s mom) sent all the girls new coats! It must have taken her a long time to make them!! They are BEAUTIFUL, so much detail and each has their name!! Just in time too with all the snow we got!! She is awful good to us!! Getting boxes from her is like CHRISTMAS! I posted the pictures on Facebook and everybody wanted to know if she sells them. I’ll have to find out and share her info if she’s interested in a part time job Babies doing great, holy cow are they FAT! Stanley and Muriel would rather have mom, but will take the bottle occasionally. The rest of the boys are piglets!! Bottle feeding has a bonus benefit and that’s all the handling, they are so comfortable in your hands. It really does make a difference in how confident they are as adults!

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY TO BEAU!! My big boy is so happy with Hope, he has done a great job mending her broken heart (left behind with his son’s sudden departure). TODAY in the mail I got COATS for all the girls from HOPE!! They are FABULOUS!! Each has their embroidered name! Just in time too with the snow we just got!!
Harlee didn’t have school today so she has been lovin on the puppies. She holds them and talks to them until they settle down in her hands! She is very proud of being the puppy socializer!!

Yesterday Jake/Fenway came to get his haircut. He was not very happy about the exuberant welcome from his sister Dottie. LOL his eyes crack me up, like he doesn’t want to look at her and attract her attention haha!! Fenway looked so beautiful! Nice square head, he is beautiful like his dad!

Patti and Ruben’s first two litters had LOTS of silvers!! The next two litters, blue and black! I sure hope we see some more silver this time, these girls are BEAUTIFUL!! Jasmine from the first litter. Molly/Zara from the second. I am hoping for a silver girl but really, it doesn’t matter. They are all wonderful, from great parents and loved every minute of their lives. The picking process can really irritated me. People act as if some pups are better than others (and they want to make sure they get the VERY best one) sometimes they offend me resulting in a refund of their deposit. I can afford to be choosy about new homes and naturally prefer to send my babies off with people I LIKE and hope to stay in touch with for years to come

Happy Francis Claire!!

What a fun day we had, weather was beautiful for fun at the pet park!! The dogs are so happy there! Parris starts to cry when we turn on park road, it’s so funny. Poppy, Nicole and Francis race back and forth, they know exactly when I’m going to call them back! We’re up to 6 dogs per trip plus Dottie. We are so excited to get it fenced so we can ALL play!!
Babies are doing great! I am bottle feeding them a few times a day just to make sure everybody is getting plenty of food! The best part is all the handling, so good for them to associate my smell with food. I rub their feet and ears while they eat, I think it helps with later grooming. SO CUTE!! Patti is doing great, in her glory with new babies!!

9 BEAUTIES!!

Well this was a bit of a long day. After days of waiting Patti Sue started having her babies at 1:15am!! I have 3 crates in my walk in closet (which they love) and Patti choose one to sleep in last night. In the event a baby is born the other dogs wake me immediately and we move to the puppy room. The birth went well, with a baby close to an hour apart (normal) until we reached 8:30 am with the birth of Eunice. I thought I felt another pup but she seemed pretty settled and I’ve been wrong before so just kept watch. Around 10:30 I took her out to potty, she came back in and continued mothering her babies. I was thinking she was done until I saw her push. She pushed a few times and stopped, seemed settled not restless. That went on most of the day. I took her outside to walk several times etc. Finally about 6pm she delivered a very big boy with his paws up by his face, no wonder he had trouble being born. Poor little prince. On the rare occasion we do lose a baby, I remind myself it could be worse, I could lose their mother!! So as bad as it is, it can be worse! I’m thrilled with my 9 little beauties Muriel, Luna, Hannah, Fleur, Eunice, Stewart, Stanley, Duncan and Vincent!! I’m a huge HARRY POTTER FAN and these are character names I couldn’t resist using!! All these babies have homes including one HERE, I SO HOPE one of the girls is silver, but it really doesn’t matter I’ll ADORE who ever I get!!!! Dottie needs a girlfriend!!

Patch 13 weeks

OMG I love that face!! What a beautiful boy! He’s turning silver like sister Pickles/Dottie!!
We are still waiting for babies! No panting, no nesting. Just resting. She really doesn’t even want to be in the puppy room so Reba is keeping the spot warm for her Anxiously waiting…….

Happy Birthday beautiful boy! He was four on the 13th!! Great story from his dad!! Hi Barb,
We have his T-Bone ready to cook tonight and his cake is already made. I’ll send you pictures after tonight but I have enclose one that I have on my phone. He’s is such a great dog and everyone loves him and is envious of Barb and I.
Have to tell you a quick story. First of all, everyone in the neighborhood are amazed at how Curly runs my property lines but never leaves my yard. About 3 months ago, he and I went out front at night to get some air. Curly was running as usual and then stopped and bristled up. Ran next door to the neighbors house and was going nuts growling and barking. The neighbors next door were gone at the time so I didn’t know what it was. As I Got closer to him, I saw that he had a prowler cornered and the guy was afraid to move. I asked the guy what he was doing and he wouldn’t answer so I got scared. I told him he better not move or I would have my dog attack. The gut stayed put with Curly standing guard till the police got there and arrested him. Turns out he was out of prison on parole. No telling what he was up to. Needless to say Curly is now the neighborhood watchdog hero. In the police report he said he was just trying to walk out of the neighborhood when the vicious dog (a Poodle he he he) acted like he was going to attack him and he got scared and tried running from the dog. Neighbors brought Curly over some treats and us some fresh baked homemade bread as a reward. More to the story….but thats the gest of it! I love my dog!!!
Thanks for remembering him. He is one dog you’ll never have to worry about whether he has a good home or not. I’ll send more photos later.

My pretty girls. Every day I look at them and are so grateful they came into my lives! They have been such good girls! The best part is I got to improve their lives, they love it here! They’ll both be NINE this year :’(
BABIES ANY TIME Patti Sue is resting comfortably. No panting, so labor has not begun as yet, when it does I’ll put her in the puppy room so babies will be born live on puppy cam as usual (link on menu of website) with blow by blow updates on facebook!! I sure hope we have lots of boys (and I need 3 girls) I have about 12 people wanting a boy (I quit taking deposits)! Patti will have one last litter and then retire. We will continue on with her daughter! I need to take Nicole in to be fixed, I keep putting it off, I dread surgery but it needs to be done
