Gaia and Martin
Gaia has passed puppy and basic obedience and we are starting agility with her and Martin in 2 weeks. She really shows Martin how to act it is a hoot. They get along well only trouble is at dog school he is very possessive of her. We got her spayed 3 weeks ago and she did well no complications. Her color has not changed too much but she does seem to be getting more white hairs in with the brown in the phantom areas. Everett is afraid she will get a white behind like some monkeys as it is most obvious there and on the bottom of her feet J
Nice to see all the new babies on facebook

So sorry it has been awhile since sending pictures of our Bear! I did not get Christmas pictures out because we moved over the holidays.
MoeBear is doing great! We moved out into the country and he is loving it! On most days he is my constant companion … loves to take the kids to school and pick them up. He just loves to be with us all of the time! He takes his people and house watching seriously since we moved out here … that has been kind of interesting!
I hope all is well with both of you! Someday, we will add another parti poodle to our family.
We will join you for the parade if we are up in TC at the right time this summer.

Harlee meets HUGO
I promise I won’t bug you every day with updates. But we are just so thrilled with him! You were right about him meeting Parker, our Shepherd. Kudos LOVED meeting Parker and having another dog around, and Parker loves it too! Kudos has completely opened up – he’s having a super time. I wish I had a video camera to capture the two of them playing – they are just having a ball. We need to let Parker have a rest now and then as he doesn’t have the same energy level, and then Kudos is looking all over for where his buddy went to! If I can keep up with them I’ll send you a few photos!
Kudos also enjoys watching college basketball and March Madness and was quite happy with the Northern Iowa win last night (since his new mommy went to Northern Iowa!)

Kudos in his new home in Georgia!
We’re doing great. He was pretty shook up and shy last night – wanted lots of petting (which I’ll gladly give!); his favorite first spot was underneath the kitchen table where he could see everything going on but felt safe. We tried taking him to the backyard to go potty when we got home from the airport but there was lots of noise he wasn’t crazy about – people running lawnmowers, people gardening on either side of us and making some sudden noises. And of course everyone in the neighborhood wanted to meet him the minute we pulled him out of the truck. When we brought him in the house where we could control the sudden noises he did much much better. He did great last night – only one little whine at about 2:30am when he needed to take care of some business.
He’s much more relaxed today. We’ve seen the tail high in the air, he’s eating, he likes to trot back and forth between Jim and I to alternate petting. He’s really opening up today. Today, we’re mainly working on getting him comfortable with his new surroundings and getting him comfortable with the leash. He is not a fan of the leash, so am just hooking one on him and letting him walk around w/o me on the other end to help him know it’s nothing to be scared of. He’s also getting used to the backyard and all the noises – neighbor dogs, geese, ducks, lawnmowers, etc. We’ve been sitting calmly in the backyard – it’s an absolutely beautiful day here! Oh – and we’re still working on a name. We’re down to a handful that we’re trying out to see which one fits best. He has not yet met Parker or our cat – we’ll introduce the two dogs tonight.
Barb, thank you so much again for him. He is just so beautiful and sooo sweet. The first thing my best friend commented on were his sweet eyes! He is such a precious gift!
Hopefully these pics come thru – if not, let me know. I’m sending them from my Apple (love it for personal use) but sometimes I have to send them on my work laptop so they show up as file attachments.
Thanks!
Carol
LOVE hearing these great reports and looking forward to photo’s and updates!! Got some wonderful photo’s of brother Nips/Domino too. Su-Yun and I work for the same company (she in New Jersey, I’m in Michigan) and we chat on and off all day via the inter-company chat called “Q” she is adding one of the black/tan phantom boys to her family (poor little Newdy the Yorkie is not much of a playmate for Domino) she will have a stunning trio!! She already gets lots of comments about her Domino! Harlee and I really enjoyed the day! Couple of hours with Trisha and the puppies and some shopping (today we bought her fuchsia sandals with big pink gems)! Today’s movie with the pups 10 days old CLICK HERE

New toy!
After considering how long the day would be if we waited for Trisha to get home from work we decided to go back tomorrow to see the puppies. On the way home Harlee and I stopped at Walmart to purchase “Barbie potty training pups” (I gave in after 90 miles or so) I can’t believe this toy! You give the puppies water in this bottle and they pee on papers that turn YELLOW!! OMG! We had lunch at our favorite place Culvers
Fun day with my sweet little grand daughter.

NIPS/Domino first haircut
Here are the pictures I promised. Our boy is really getting more and more handsome every day and BIG! Here he is with a haircut. He still looks big without all the hair (his legs just look longer
I cant stress enough how smart this puppy is. He is fully housebroken. I trust him in the house completely; I do not even give it a second thought. I really cant believe that he is just turning 4 months. I almost forget that he is just a baby. Also, he is very, very, strong! I try to be firm with him on walks (otherwise he will drag me down the street easily). He is learning that pulling only makes me stop and takes him longer to get to where he is trying to go
Funny; he looks at me as if he wants to say: “come on mom; grow two more legs or somethin!” LOL
Anyway, I will keep you updated with his progress as promised. I love this guy to pieces. He is absolutely awesome and I couldn’t be more thrilled with his progress.
P.S. I included a picture of Newdy in his brand new sweater. My daughter says he looks like a little elf. LOL
Talk to you soon,

Cuddling with Toby

Wonka's family
He’s our four-month-old, 33-pound standard poodle. Bred and raised so far by Barb Dunlop, an incredibly loving and clever poodle maven who lives in Mecosta, Hugo is adjusting well to the abrupt change in his living conditions.
Hugo came from a large immediate and extended canine family including seven brothers and one sister. Three of them were available for adoption and it was really difficult to choose. They are all such gorgeous, polite young men. Obviously they take after their bio-mom, Jazz (below, left), who will be retired now to a well-deserved life of leisure. Chris, Ava and Luc (see belly) made the journey with us; Ava, of course, had final approval of the decision.
Hugo was comically perplexed (and, let’s just say it, scared) of the two cats in his new home and tried to bolt out the back door when he first laid eyes on them. He’s getting braver by the minute, though and we anticipate physical contact between them soon. The cats are relentless in their quest to figure him out. Of course that’s difficult to do when Hugo is hiding behind Jackson.
They adapt very quickly. They seem to know this is their new home and they get busy getting comfortable with everything.

What kind of dog are you?

Izzie in waiting
Sweet Izzie another few days to go before she meets her babies! Trisha said she has been very needy (more than usual)!! As anxious as we are to meet the babies we DRED first litters. The mom absolutely has no CLUE what just happen and is very confused, if you’re not there to get the baby out of the sac, it will die. After a couple pups she seems to “get” that they are hers and she dives right in to taking care of them. It’s a HUGE relief to have it over!! Both Jazz and Citori are great moms that have easy births so we don’t expect any problems.
WONKA joined his family today. The Gilbert family had a deposit on one of Lexie babies but couldn’t resist the cute little faces of our current babies!! Hard choice- they liked them all but Wonka really liked their son! When the babies picks you, you can’t go wrong
They haven’t decided on his new name, can’t wait for an update and photo’s of my babies new life.

Harvey and his family!!
Harvey is GREAT – best dog in the universe. I recently made a decision (since I’m 40 now) that if I decide in the next year no more babies, then I’ll want another Harvey!! I really could see having even 3. He is seriously the best dog ever – so much that we cannot imagine a day without him. I know you get this. Even this morning Alex got a little teary and he’s like Mom, he’s 3, but he’s YOUNG right, because I don’t want him to die. Of course I assured him Harvey has many many many years with us.
I have a bunch of pictures from this past weekend, but they are on my home computer. I will definitely send you some. He is HUGE right now (well, his hair is! lol) We decided to let it go for the
winter and I’ve had like 40 compliments on him, he looks like a big BEAR or a Newfoundland. LOL. It’s been 4-5 months since his last cut and his hair grows better and faster than mine. lol. I know grooming will be scary (yikes). Any secrets to when it gets that long? I’m assuming cut with good scissors first? He looks like he is 150 pounds, it’s hilarious!!!!
How are you guys? How are your babies????

Harvey and his boy!

Zinnia's birthday party

Derek/Renny 2 years old
Renny will be 2 tomorrow. He is such a wonderful pet. Everyone who meets him just loves him. He is the most social poodle I have ever had.
He will go up to anyone wagging his tail, wanted them to notice him. But also a fabulous watchdog. Especially at night. If he doesn’t recognize the person, he will emit a very quiet low grumble. As soon as I say oke, he stops and wants to go and visit.
When I purchased these toys at Costco, I figured they would last a very short time, as Matisse loves to remove the stuffing and the squeaky. We gave them all three, they came in a 3 pack. And Matisse removed the stuffing and squeaky from one and has left all the others intack. That is amazing. But Renny loves them and usually carries one around most of the day. He even took one on a walk. They play tug of war all the time, Renny loves to tangle it in front of Matisse to entice him to play. If that doesn’t work he brings it to me.
After the 4th bout with Rennys poop problem, the vet sent it out for a very extensive panel. It is Clostridium, they have it naturally in the intestines, however Renny had way too much and I think it was going around here, several of my friends have had a problem with their dogs poop too.
Well, the medicine is Tylan powder twice a day 1/4 tsp. After 3 days he was normal, however the vet says to keep him on it for a whole month. So I will, do not want it to come back.
Cannot believe it has been 2 years since I picked up my Renny.
Would love to come to the parade, but I would have to fly and it is too much for the dogs in the heat of the summer.
And much too far for me to drive.
Renny is the best birthday present I have ever gotten, I will celebrate my birthday one March 2.
Can’t wait to see the new pups. C
Tommorrow is the birthday of their first babies, sadly we rarely here from those families ![]()
Everybody here doing great! I moved one of the puppy cams upstairs so you can see the babies all day. If the room is empty, we went outside to potty (which we do often).
